My names are Tochukwu Richard Ekwebelem.
An indigene of *OKWUABALA AUTONOMOUS COMMUNITY in Orlu LGA of Imo State.
I am the last child of my father, late Hon. Chief Augustine Ekwebelem Egbejimba who was married to Ezinne Amarachi Maria Concilia Egbejimba. They had 7 children (4 boys and 3 girls). I am a business man who specialise on wholesale of Baking Materials and also a Truck Driver.
After the first attack I had on the 1/06/2021, my life has been under threat by unknown group of people that were after my life and that of my family.
On the 13/11/2022 I ran to the Police Station to make another report about the constant threatening of life calls am receiving on my phone on a daily basis from unknown group of people and also with the suspicious movements I started noticing in front of our family house at No 27A Unity Street Off Governors Road Ikotun, Alimosho, Lagos State, with a Tinted Black Hilux Jeep with a fake registration plate number (EPE 937 XV). It was tracked by the Nigerian Police Force, we discovered that the Registration Plate Number was fake, which belongs to a White Hiace Bus not the suspected strange Black Tinted Hilux with a registration address in Lekki, Lagos State.
On 24/2/2023 I was attacked for the third time that I nearly lost my life when another group of hefty men, with Sienna Bus carrying guns (AK47) with face masks traced me again down to my uncle’s house at No 12 Bauchi road, Jos, Plateau State. But God saved my life as I managed to escape from the backyard fence after I ran away from our family house in Lagos to Jos for the safety of my dear life which I also reported the incident/attack to the Nigerian Police Station Jos after escaping another assassination attempt from this unknown group of men in Jos for the third time to kill me.
The Police however asked me if I suspected anyone, I answered “Yes”, I went further to narrate my ordeals with this unknown group of men, which started since after the General Elections in 2019 and also since after the Birth of my daughter Adaugo Laura Ekwebelem.
Now I am calling on the Nigerian Government, the Nigerian Police Force, DSS and all the security agencies to come to my rescue and bring these perpetrators to book.
