President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of seven individuals to head strategic agencies and programmes under the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development. The appointments aim to facilitate relief to Nigerians and ensure the effectiveness of humanitarian and social development programmes.

The appointees include:

  • Lami Bello as Director-General, National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons
  • Badamasi Lawal as Chief Executive Officer, National Social Investment Programme Agency
  • Funmilola Olotu as Programme Manager, National Social Safety-Net Coordinating Office
  • Aishat Alubankudi as Programme Manager, Grant for Vulnerable Groups
  • Aderemi Adebowale as Programme Manager, Home Grown School Feeding
  • Abdullahi Imam as Programme Manager, National Cash Transfer Office
  • Ayuba Gufwan as Executive Secretary, National Commission for People with Disabilities

The appointments were announced in a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale. The appointees are expected to bring their expertise and experience to their respective roles and contribute to the effectiveness of the ministry’s programmes
