Reworked Story:

Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, CEO of Bullion Go-Neat Global Limited and Ogun State chieftain of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), has renewed his call for urgent youth empowerment as a vital measure for economic stability and crime reduction. Speaking during a recent meeting with the Commerce & Industry Correspondents Association of Nigeria (CICAN), Ajadi highlighted the importance of unlocking the untapped potential of Nigerian youths to foster national growth.

Ajadi noted that Nigerian youths possess boundless energy and talent comparable to their peers worldwide, yet much of this potential remains underutilized. By engaging youth in meaningful employment, he argued, the government could boost productivity, enhance governance inclusivity, and drive social stability. “Nigerian youths are ready to contribute if given the chance,” he emphasized.

Expressing concerns over escalating economic pressures, Ajadi urged the government to intervene swiftly to counter rising living costs, which he warned could destabilize a country with such a large youth population. He called on authorities to prioritize job creation, increase production incentives, and address essential item prices to make life more manageable for Nigerians.

Ajadi also outlined specific steps for youth-focused economic growth, recommending that the government establish and equip agricultural hubs nationwide to provide jobs while boosting food security. He proposed funding support for youth-led initiatives, closely monitored to ensure effective implementation, as well as practical upgrades for technical colleges and polytechnics to foster skill development and local manufacturing capabilities.

“By channeling the population and energy of Nigerian youths into productive agricultural work, the government can drive an industrial revolution,” he said, urging the establishment of budgetary provisions to launch youth-focused agricultural projects across the country. “Such steps would economically engage thousands and increase agricultural output, positioning youth as drivers of our economy,” he concluded.
