The Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) launched its Nigerian Content Human Capacity Development (NC-HCD) Basic Training Programme in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Tuesday. This initiative, under the NLNG Train 7 Project, aims to equip young graduates with industry-relevant skills and foster human capital development.

Out of 848 candidates shortlisted from the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board’s (NCDMB) Joint Qualification System (JQS) portal, 331 graduates from diverse disciplines are undergoing the 12-month training. The programme covers a range of areas including ICT, Engineering, Welding and Fabrication, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), Quality Management Systems, and Marine and Offshore Services.

Speaking at the event, Engr. Joshua Anemeje, Corporate Liaison Manager for NLNG Train 7, highlighted the significant progress made on the Train 7 Project, which is now 75% complete and has created over 10,000 jobs at the NLNG Plant Site in Bonny Island. He encouraged trainees to seize this opportunity, emphasizing that the skills acquired would open doors to future endeavors.
