A recent survey by Cubecover has revealed that less than 3 percent of Nigerians have active insurance coverage, underscoring the significant gap in the country’s insurance penetration.
Speaking at an event aimed at expanding access to insurance services in Nigeria, Deji Macaulay, Chief Executive Officer of Cubecover, emphasized the firm’s commitment to addressing the challenges limiting insurance accessibility in Africa’s most populous country.

“Insurance should be accessible to everyone, not just a privileged few. Our platform simplifies the process, making insurance easier, user-friendly, and affordable for Nigerians to get the coverage they need,” Macaulay stated.

Sam Ishie, the Chief Technical Officer of Cubecover, highlighted the results of the survey, which form the foundation of the company’s strategic interventions.
