The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Lagos State Chapter, has congratulated Hon. Mrs. Mojisola Miranda, representing Apapa 1 Constituency, on her historic emergence as the first female Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly.

In a statement signed by Dr. Adeola Ekine, Chairperson of NAWOJ Lagos, the association described Hon. Mrs. Miranda’s achievement as a well-deserved milestone, reflective of her dedication, integrity, and deep sense of responsibility. NAWOJ highlighted her dynamic leadership and unwavering commitment to the welfare of her constituents as hallmarks of her political career.

The association emphasized that her election as Speaker is a testament to the increasing recognition of women’s leadership capabilities in governance and decision-making. “This historic moment serves as an inspiration to women across Lagos State and beyond,” the statement read.

NAWOJ commended Hon. Mrs. Miranda’s impressive legislative track record, marked by impactful policies and programs aimed at social justice, economic empowerment, and community development. The association expressed confidence in her ability to foster collaboration within the Assembly and strengthen the voices of women while promoting inclusivity.
