The Osun State Executive Council, led by Governor Ademola Adeleke, has approved the appointment of Prince Timileyin Oluyemi Ajayi as the new Olojudo of Ido Ajegunle in Obokun Local Government. Ajayi, a United Kingdom-based IT engineer, studied Office and Information Management at Lead City University, Ibadan, before venturing into the hospitality and agricultural industries.
The council also confirmed the appointments of Prince Emmanuel Adesokan Ayoola as the Oluwaro of Iwaro in Ife North Local Government and Prince Kazeem Deji Ogungbe as the Oniwata of Iwata in Irewole Local Government.
In addition, seven traditional rulers and Baales were elevated to Part II (Recognized) Status under the Chiefs Law, Cap. 25, Laws of Osun State, 2002. Those promoted include Baale Owajigbo of Ejigbo-Orangun, Baale Owamagbon of Ila, and Baale Owafaye of Obalogbo-Ila under the Ila Traditional Council. Others are Baale Osi Okero-Ife, Baale Mayowa Ifegunle-Ife, Olu of Apatalami-Ife, Baale Ayede Temidire Town, and Baale Akingbade of Ayetutu Ipoye-Ife under the Ife Traditional Council. Further elevations include the Looyin of Olodo Okebode-Ijesa, Ologbese of Ogbese in Atakunmosa West, Alaye Daramola-Ijesa in Atakunmosa East, Baale of Ajitena under the Ejigbo Traditional Council, and Olaota of Osunwoyin in Ayedire Local Government.
Governor Adeleke also approved the White Paper on the Report of a Judicial Panel of Inquiry into the Aragbiji of Iragbiji Chieftaincy Declaration during the council meeting.
