Access Bank Plc has appointed Uche Orji as an Independent Non-Executive Director, reinforcing its commitment to strong corporate governance and strategic growth. His appointment, effective January 7, 2025, received approval from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Orji, a veteran in investment banking and technology, brings over 30 years of experience spanning finance, asset management, and corporate leadership. He co-founded Titangate Capital Management, an equity firm specializing in deep-tech, artificial intelligence, and enterprise software investments. He also leads Vitesse Africa Limited, an investment advisory firm focused on energy, technology, and infrastructure across Africa.

Previously, Orji was the founding Managing Director of the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA) and held senior positions at UBS Securities in New York, JP Morgan Securities in London, and Goldman Sachs Asset Management. His early career included roles at Diamond Bank and Arthur Andersen.

Access Bank Chairman, Paul Usoro, SAN, highlighted Orji’s extensive expertise, stating, “His deep experience in finance and technology will be instrumental as we advance our strategic goals.”

The bank emphasized that the appointment aligns with its corporate governance framework and regulatory compliance, further strengthening its leadership team as it aims for greater industry impact.
