As part of its commitment to supporting female-owned businesses, Stanbic IBTC Bank has partnered with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to roll out the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women online course, equipping women entrepreneurs with critical business skills.
The program, championed by Goldman Sachs and delivered through the University of Leeds, addresses key challenges female entrepreneurs face, such as limited access to business education and mentorship. It provides tailored support, including financial literacy, strategic planning, marketing strategies, and leadership development.
Olajumoke Bello, Head of Enterprise Banking at Stanbic IBTC Bank, highlighted the importance of this initiative, stating, “Supporting women in business is both a necessity and a celebration of their resilience. Through our Blue Blossom community, we provide networking, mentorship, and financial opportunities to help women-owned businesses thrive. Our partnership with IFC ensures that more women gain access to the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women SME training, reinforcing our dedication to their success.”
Stanbic IBTC’s leadership in SME banking was reaffirmed by its top ranking in the 2024 KPMG SME Banking Survey for the second consecutive year. The bank remains committed to fostering innovation and financial inclusion for women entrepreneurs, helping them scale their businesses in a competitive landscape.
