Sir (Dr.) Emeka Offor, the Chairman and CEO of Chrome Group, has thrown his weight behind Governor Charles Soludo’s bid for a second term, praising his commitment to infrastructural development and judicious use of resources in Anambra State. Offor’s endorsement comes as Soludo continues to earn accolades for his ambitious infrastructural agenda aimed at transforming the state’s landscape and boosting economic growth.

During a recent ceremony marking Soludo’s third anniversary in office, Sir Offor joined the governor’s team to inaugurate the 10.8-kilometre Nkwo Oraifite to Nkwo Nnewi road, famously known as Agba Ụzọ Ịnọ. The road, a critical route within Anambra, has been refurbished to enhance connectivity and address long-standing challenges of accessibility and economic isolation.

Applauding the governor’s dedication to infrastructural development, Offor remarked, “Soludo has demonstrated fiscal prudence and judicious use of scarce resources. Ndi Anambra will support his re-election for a second term.” The Chrome Group boss emphasized that Soludo’s efforts have not gone unnoticed and pledged his unwavering support as a friend and ally, urging Anambra citizens to rally behind the governor’s transformational initiatives.

The endorsement is significant, coming from one of Anambra’s most prominent entrepreneurs whose influence extends beyond the business sector into the political and social fabric of the state. Offor’s support is likely to bolster Soludo’s credibility and strengthen his political standing as the 2026 elections approach.

The inauguration of the Nkwo Oraifite to Nkwo Nnewi road is part of Soludo’s broader strategy to upgrade Anambra’s road infrastructure. The governor has committed to tackling the perennial issues of flooding and erosion, which have devastated communities and disrupted economic activities for years. According to Anambra’s Commissioner for Information, Law Mefor, Soludo’s proactive approach exemplifies his vision of transforming the state from a “departure lounge” to an “admirable destination.”

Offor particularly commended the governor for awarding the contract for the construction of the 5.8-kilometre Orafite Civic Centre to Onitsha express road. This project addresses severe erosion problems, which have resulted in gaping holes of 10 metres in width and 22 metres in depth, posing significant hazards to residents and road users alike. The successful completion of this project would represent a major victory in Soludo’s ongoing battle against erosion and infrastructural decay.

Governor Soludo, while speaking during the inauguration, noted that his administration has already awarded contracts for 750 kilometres of road construction across
