Over 1,500 residents of Kabuga community, Dala Local Government Area in Kano State have benefited from the Fidelity Food Bank Initiative, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program by Fidelity Bank Plc in partnership with Misnoory Foundation.

The outreach, aimed at providing food relief during Ramadan, saw bank staff distribute essential food items to support vulnerable groups, including women, widows, and children.

Speaking on the initiative, Dr. Meksley Nwagboh, Divisional Head, Brands and Communications at Fidelity Bank, reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to social impact.

“Social responsibility is at the heart of who we are as a bank. The Fidelity Food Bank was launched in April 2023 to combat hunger, and we have distributed over 150,000 food packs across the country as part of our contribution to **Sustainable Development Goal 2 (Zero Hunger),” he said.

Founder of Misnoory Foundation, Maryam Isa Inuwa, praised Fidelity Bank’s support, noting that the bank remains a key partner in the foundation’s mission to assist vulnerable communities.

“Fidelity Bank has been a major sponsor of our humanitarian programs, and today, it is Kabuga’s turn to benefit. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of many,” she stated.
