The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has appointed Dr. Obinna Ezeobi as the Acting General Manager of its Corporate Communications Division, effective May 7, 2025. This promotion is part of the Board’s ongoing efforts to enhance its strategic communication initiatives.
Dr. Ezeobi, who has been with NCDMB since its inception in 2010, brings over two decades of experience in energy communications, public relations, and journalism. He succeeds Esueme Kikile, a seasoned communication specialist, who has been redeployed.
Ezeobi, a Ph.D. holder in Energy Communications from the University of Port Harcourt, has played a pivotal role in shaping NCDMB’s reputation through key projects, including the commissioning of the Nigerian Content Tower by President Muhammadu Buhari and the launch of the Nigerian Content Intervention Fund. His leadership has been instrumental in the success of numerous communication campaigns and stakeholder engagements.
In response to the announcement, BusinessNG management expressed confidence in Ezeobi’s ability to elevate NCDMB’s communications to new heights, leveraging his vast expertise and experience.
A former journalist with major Nigerian media houses, Ezeobi has also authored a book titled Nigeria’s Local Content: A Journey of Strategic Communication and Economic Transformation, which has garnered widespread acclaim.
Ezeobi’s career trajectory at NCDMB has been marked by several notable achievements, including leading the development of communication policies, spearheading media relations programs, and managing the Board’s media platforms.
