LAGOS– The Chief Executive Officer of Aridan Homes Investment Limited, Engr. Tayo Oyerokun has donated a 2HP standing AC unit to the Nigeria Immigration Service Office (NIS) in IkoyI, Lagos.

Engr. Tayo, who posted this on his social media handle said the guesture was inspired by his children who had gone to renew their expired travel passports at the NIS office.

He noted that the children, who notice that a lot of people were complaining about the heat, just as others were trying to tame their children in the heat had sort for his intervention on their behalf.

“My children were in Nigeria recently, so I decided to renew their passports.

” I applied for my children’s, father’s, and brother’s passports without paying a single bribe and it came out in 3 days.

“On the day my children were supposed to be captured, we arrived at the children immigration section office in Ikoyi. I notice a lot of people were complaining about the heat.

“People were sitting, nicely dressed, and trying to tame their children in the heat. My children came running to me and said, Daddy, can we fix this problem?.

“Can you please buy the children’s section a new AC on our behalf? So I said, It is done. See my children jumping in excitement for what they may never use.

“After capturing, I went to the passport collection centre to collect my dad’s and brothers’ passports, only to find out while they were trying to change over from generator to NEPA, I noticed the changeover gearbox was faulty (they were using electrical pliers to switch over).

“I called one of their staff and said, Please, can I donate a 200 amp changeover switch and 2 hp standing unit AC to the Immigration Office Ikoyi?’

“She immediately took me to the head of immigration, who was shocked and excited about our kind gesture.

“She shared some of their challenges and also told me someone just donated 2 UPS to them yesterday because while his family was capturing, the computer system went off”, he said
