The First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, has applauded Dufil Prima Foods, makers of Indomie Instant Noodles, for its unwavering commitment to nurturing the next generation of Nigerian leaders through the Indomie Fan Club (IFC).
Speaking during the IFC’s 20th-anniversary celebration at Apapa Amusement Park as part of the 2025 Children’s Day festivities, the First Lady commended the Club’s two-decade legacy of shaping young minds through engaging, value-driven programmes.
“This celebration is more than fun; it’s about purpose,” she said. “The Indomie Fan Club has been instrumental in fostering creativity, confidence, and character in our children.”
Dr. Sanwo-Olu highlighted the synergy between the IFC’s initiatives—such as storytelling, talent showcases, and community service—and the Lagos State Government’s child-centered programmes like the Lagos Boy Child Project and Young Farmers Clubs.
Temitope Ashiwaju, General Manager, Corporate Communications and Events at Dufil Prima Foods, described the Club as a “beacon of joy, education, and creativity.”
Head of IFC, Karishma Rustagi, added, “The smiles we see today reflect 20 years of love and learning. This anniversary is a celebration of growth, fun, and education.”
The Lagos flagship event turned Apapa Amusement Park into a lively space filled with games, performances, and storytelling, attracting thousands of children, families, and educators. Nationwide, over 150,000 children participated in the week-long celebration from May 20 to 27.
Launched in 2005, the Indomie Fan Club now counts over 150,000 members aged 4 to 12 and remains one of Nigeria’s largest platforms for child-focused development, fostering education, leadership, and moral values across the country.
