Africa’s leading e-commerce platform, Jumia, is marking its 13th anniversary, celebrating more than a decade of transforming how Nigerians shop, sell, and engage with the digital economy.
Since its launch in 2012, Jumia has evolved from a fledgling online marketplace into a major force driving digital inclusion, convenience, and entrepreneurial growth across Nigeria. The platform has empowered thousands of local vendors, expanded brand reach nationwide, and offered consumers reliable access to goods and services through seamless logistics and digital payment solutions.
To commemorate this milestone, the company has rolled out its 2025 Anniversary Campaign tagged “Enjoyment Overload”, which runs from June 2 to June 22. The campaign features exclusive deals, exciting games, treasure hunts, flash sales, and giveaways in collaboration with major brands such as Nivea, Xiaomi, Itel, Diageo, Adidas, Oraimo, Unilever, and Reckitt.
“We are proud of the journey so far, not just in terms of business growth, but in the real-life stories of empowerment and access that Jumia has made possible,” said Sunil Natraj, CEO of Jumia Nigeria. “This campaign is our way of thanking the millions of Nigerians who have grown with us, challenged us, and inspired us every step of the way.”
Highlighting the partnership behind the celebrations, Beiersdorf Nigeria, owner of the Nivea brand and Platinum Sponsor of the campaign, expressed its excitement to reward consumers. “This three-week event allows us to showcase skincare innovations tailored for African skin. We’re also giving shoppers a chance to win a grand prize of ₦4.5 million,” said Dele Adeyole, Country Manager, Beiersdorf Nivea Consumer Product Limited.
Nivea’s featured products include the newly launched NIVEA Sunscreen – UV Face, Deep Maxx Tech Body Lotion, and Radiant & Beauty Even Glow.
With Nigeria’s digital economy on the rise, Jumia says it remains committed to using technology and innovation to simplify daily life while supporting the growth of local businesses. The company also reaffirmed its mission to make e-commerce accessible, rewarding, and inclusive for every Nigerian.
