The Federal Ministry of Finance has raised an alarm over a fraudulent website, lankantamil.com, which is falsely using the name, image, and identity of Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, the Honourable Minister of State for Finance, to deceive the public.

In an official statement signed by Mohammed Manga, Director of Information and Public Relations, the ministry categorically disassociated Dr. Uzoka-Anite from the website and its misleading content, warning that the materials circulating under her name are “unauthorised, deceptive, and intended to misinform the public.”

“This is a case of digital impersonation and fraud,” the statement read. “The matter has already been reported to the appropriate law enforcement and cybersecurity authorities for investigation and takedown action.”

The ministry urged Nigerians to disregard any videos, links, or messages originating from lankantamil.com, cautioning against clicking on or sharing such content. Citizens were also encouraged to report such digital impersonation to relevant authorities and platforms.

Dr. Uzoka-Anite reaffirmed her commitment to transparent and accountable public service, stating that all official communication from her office will be made only through verifiable and authorised channels.

The Ministry directed the public to its official website — www.finance.gov.ng — for accurate and up-to-date information.
