Dr. Hosea Kili, the Group Managing Director and CEO of the County Pension Fund (CPF), paid a courtesy visit this morning to Geoffrey Odundo, the Group Chief Executive Officer of Nation Media Group (NMG), as part of efforts to foster collaboration in the financial sector.

The high-level meeting focused on potential areas of partnership, particularly in the retirement pension space, where both institutions share a commitment to promoting financial security and inclusion.

Discussions centered on innovative ways to amplify pension awareness, boost financial literacy, and drive broader participation in retirement schemes, especially for underserved segments of the population.

NMG reiterated its mission to positively influence society through impactful journalism and digital innovation. The organisation pledged to support initiatives that align with financial inclusion, innovation, and long-term economic well-being.

“This engagement reflects our belief that partnerships are vital for achieving shared prosperity,” said Geoffrey Odundo. “As a media group, we are keen to amplify initiatives that empower individuals financially and socially.”

Also present at the meeting were Waceke Ndung’u, NMG’s Chief Finance Officer; Irene Mbonge, NMG Group Strategy and Innovation Officer; and CPF officials including Mbithe Muema.

Dr. Kili welcomed NMG’s commitment and expressed optimism that the collaboration would open new avenues for expanding CPF’s impact through strategic communication and outreach.

The visit marks a promising step toward deepening public-private collaboration in Kenya’s pension and financial services sector.
