In a dignified and well-attended ceremony held at the prestigious Protea Hotel by Marriott, Ikeja Select, the Rotary Club of Ojodu witnessed a seamless transition of leadership as Rotarian Martins Osinachi Nnanna officially took over as the Club’s 21st President of Rotary Club of Ojodu

Nnanna is a seasoned professional, entrepreneur, and community leader. A Paul Harris Fellow, he is a full member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Supply Chain Management and the Institute of Strategic Management. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master’s in Transport Studies and Management, both from Olabisi Onabanjo University.

He currently serves as CEO and Chairman of several reputable organizations, including Cumbiaford Nigeria Ltd and the MacAnthony Nnanna Foundation, a philanthropic institution known for its impactful community initiatives. He is also co-founder of Affordapot Food, a venture addressing food insecurity through affordable nutrition solutions.

In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Rotarian Nnanna is deeply involved in faith-based service. He is the President of the Young Christian Workers Movement at the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit, Omole, and previously served as Magical Secretary of the Rotary Club of Ojodu.

In his acceptance speech, President Nnanna expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Board and members for finding him worthy to lead in the “United Year.” He pledged not to let the Club down and committed to engaging all stakeholders in service. “The candle handed over to me must not extinguish,” he said, assuring members of his dedication to preserving and building upon the legacy of the Club.
Immediate Past President, Rotarian Osi-Evans Ikphunuekhia, in his farewell remarks, thanked the Board, Rotarians, and friends of Rotary for their support during his tenure. He highlighted key achievements made under his leadership and encouraged members to extend their full support to his successor. “Rotary is a continuous relay of service,” he noted. “I trust that my successor will raise the bar even higher.”

Established in 2002 as a provisional club and officially chartered on March 8, 2005, the Rotary Club of Ojodu began with 26 members and has grown into a vibrant club known for initiatives that uplift the underserved in Ojodu and its environs. The Club has made significant contributions in healthcare, education, and community infrastructure, remaining firmly committed to Rotary’s global motto: Service Above Self.
