In a heartwarming display of corporate responsibility, leading Nigerian fintech firm Faveremit has extended its impact beyond financial technology to touch the lives of more than 500 schoolchildren across Osun State.

Through its growing social initiative, the company distributed customized notebooks to pupils in three public primary schools—LA1 Primary School and St. Peter’s Primary School in Esa-Oke, and DTTC Primary School in Ijebu-Jesa.

The outreach, part of Phase Two of Faveremit’s Spreading Yuletide Love campaign, builds on the success of its December 2024 launch which focused on food relief and festive cheer for vulnerable families.

The February edition shifted focus to education, a move the company says is central to its long-term vision of empowering communities.

During the school visits, the Faveremit team delivered the notebooks directly to classrooms, sparking excitement among pupils and appreciation from school staff.

Teachers and administrators commended the gesture, describing it as timely and deeply encouraging. For many children, the branded notebooks were more than just school supplies—they were a signal that someone believed in their potential.

Speaking at one of the presentations, Faveremit Founder and CEO Gabriel Olusola emphasized the importance of early educational support. “We believe real change starts in the classroom,” he said. “Each notebook is a blank page of possibility. If we can help one child believe in their future, then we’ve done something meaningful.”

The company, best known for digital services like virtual dollar cards, gift card exchange, and @username money transfers, is now fast earning a reputation as a brand that leads with purpose. This educational push is just one example of how Faveremit is broadening its mission to include grassroots impact.

“What began as a seasonal outreach has evolved into a movement,” Olusola noted. “We’re not just building a fintech app. We’re building a future where the communities we serve grow with us.”

Faveremit says it plans to continue investing in education, and is calling on other private sector players, NGOs, and concerned individuals to join the effort in creating a more inclusive and educated Nigeria—one child at a time.
