MTN Nigeria has launched its inaugural Customer Engagement Day (CED), signaling a new era of transparency and customer-centric innovation. Held at the MTN Rooftop in Ikoyi, Lagos, the event brought together hundreds of in-person attendees and thousands online under the theme “We See You. We’re With You.”
The full-day hybrid event featured tech showcases, mentorship sessions, startup pitches, and direct dialogue with MTN leadership—all aimed at empowering customers and collecting real-time feedback.
A major highlight was the Karl2U fireside chat, where MTN CEO Dr. Karl Toriola took live questions from customers. “We are moving beyond being a service provider,” Toriola said. “Today is about listening, responding, and showing we’re partners in your digital journey.”
Echoing that sentiment, MTN COO Ayham Moussa said, “We began with everyday Nigerians and today we serve over 80 million people. This journey is about supporting ambitions and making life easier.”
From a session on data usage and management led by Ugonwa Nwoye, MTN’s Chief Customer Experience Officer, to speed mentorship with top executives and digital innovation lounges powered by MoMo PSB and the MTN Foundation, the day emphasized education, empowerment, and connection.
Closing the event, MTN CMO Onyinye Ikenna-Emeka reaffirmed the brand’s promise: “We’ve heard your stories and your challenges. CED is just the beginning of a deeper commitment to co-creating with you.”
Beyond the panels and tech demos, the atmosphere was personal, vibrant, and intentional—capturing MTN’s shift from broadcasting to active listening, from campaigns to commitments, and from connectivity to true partnership.
