The Federal Ministry of Transportation, in partnership with the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) and De-sadel, is set to host railway stakeholders from across Africa and beyond for the 2nd International Railway Conference and Exhibition.

The two-day event, scheduled for September 15–16, 2025, at the Ladi Kwali Hall of the Abuja Continental Hotel, will focus on the theme: “Opportunities and Challenges in Railway Development in Africa: A Call for Investment.”

Vice President Kashim Shettima, GCON, will deliver the keynote address and officially declare the conference open. The Managing Director of Bethlehem Rail, Mr. Rowland Ocholi Ataguba, will serve as the keynote speaker.

Minister of Transportation, Senator Said Ahmed Alkali, who has spearheaded significant reforms in the sector, described the conference as a transformative platform that will shape the future of rail transport on the continent.

The gathering is expected to provide fresh insights into investment opportunities, technological advancements, and policy frameworks needed to drive sustainable railway development across Africa.
