Promasidor Nigeria has reaffirmed its commitment to youth empowerment and educational development through its flagship career guidance initiative, Harness Your Dream, held recently in Lagos. The programme, designed to help junior secondary school students make informed career choices, brought together educators, government officials, and industry experts for a day of mentorship and inspiration.
Representing the First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, Mrs. Anike Adekanye, former Tutor-General and Permanent Secretary, Education District II, praised Promasidor for sustaining an initiative that aligns with the Lagos State Government’s vision of youth empowerment and educational excellence.
“This initiative aligns perfectly with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s vision anchored on education, empowerment, and a brighter future for every child,” Mrs. Adekanye said. “Success begins with a dream, but it is sustained by discipline, hard work, and the right values.”
Promasidor Nigeria’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. François Gillet, described education as a catalyst for national progress. “Beyond being a leading food and beverage company, Promasidor is deeply committed to supporting our communities,” he said. “Through Harness Your Dream, we aim to help young people find clarity and confidence in choosing careers that align with their passions.”
Gillet noted that the company’s social investment extends to other empowerment platforms such as Cowbellpedia and Ikun Milk Day, designed to promote academic excellence and local dairy development.
Also speaking, the Head of Regulatory and Government Affairs, Dr. Chinenyem Obasi-Obonga, said the initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) and the Lagos State THEMES+ Agenda. “Our goal is to bridge the gap between what students learn in school and who they aspire to become,” she said.
Chairman of Isolo LCDA, Otunba Adebayo Olasoju, urged students not to let their background limit their ambitions. “No dream is too big or too small to achieve,” he encouraged.
Senior executives from Promasidor, including Mr. Olabisi Ajeyomi, Mrs. Arike Nwachukwu, and Mr. Chukwunonso Udeh, alongside external facilitators Dr. Nimi Ekere and Dr. Adaora Obiagwu, led interactive mentoring sessions focused on purpose, perseverance, and personal growth.
The event featured quizzes and educational games, with outstanding students receiving prizes.
Through Harness Your Dream, Promasidor continues to inspire the next generation of Nigerian leaders — helping them dream boldly, decide wisely, and achieve greatly.
