Amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding the death of Afrobeats singer Ilerioluwa Aloba popularly known as Mohbad, the families of some witnesses have cried out on the police to urgently step into the investigation of Mobad’s death as a means to curb the continous threat on the lives of their family members resulting to attacks, intimidationa and absolute unrest.
According to a report made by the head of Tajudeen family, Alhaji S A Tajudeen cited frequent intimidationa and threats on lives of some family memebers in person of Tajudeen Olushola David and his wife Tajudeen Bosede Blessing who are key witnesses at the scene where the popular singer was waylaid after a show in Ikorodu on 12th September 2023. Aftermath of the incident the couple made a report at the Ikorodu Police Division and have since then been subjects of targets by some unidentified boys suspected to be ‘Marlians’.
Speaking to the press Mr Temitope Olayinka another family member expressed his grief over tether state of insecurity he and his family have been facing due to thier accommodation of the said witnesses. “Since My wife and I took the Tajudeen’s in, we have known no peace or rest Hoodlums have been attacking us in numbers. All these are happening in connection to the testimony of Mr and Mrs Tajudeen after Mohbads death”
“We urge the police and the government and the good citizens of Nigeria to please come to our rescue. We need justice for Mohbad and peace within our kcommunities family” Temitope pleaded.
However, many of the Tajudeen families have fled the country out of fear yet the threats have not stopped and those still living in the country are no longer at ease.
According to Madam Dorcas mother one of the witnesses at large “I used to notice strange and suspicious movements around my home. Unknown persons always loiter around the compound at odd hours. Sometimes they demand to see my daughter, Tajudeen Bosede and her husband Olushola”
The Tajudeen family is now calling on law-enforcement agencies to step in immediately, provide protection and ensure a proper investigation. They insist that all individuals involved in the case must be identified and brought to justice so that the family can live without fear.
