Financial analysts have urged Wema Bank’s management to reassure shareholders through transparent communication on its post-placement utilisation plan and earnings sustainability strategy.
“Investors need clarity on how the fresh capital will translate into stronger profitability, not just regulatory compliance,” said Oluwole Adeyemi, an independent capital market analyst. “Without that, the market will continue to price in uncertainty.”
Despite the selloff, some traders see the current price weakness as a possible entry point for long-term investors — provided the bank delivers solid Q3 results and clear growth direction.
