The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) is set to recognize over 685 distinguished banking and finance professionals at its 2025 Fellowship Investiture, scheduled for Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the Banquet Hall, Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts, Surulere, Lagos.

The event underscores the Institute’s commitment to advancing the banking profession and promoting innovation, technology, and best practices in the sector. This year, 20 members will receive Honorary Fellowship, 438 will be conferred as Elected Fellows, while 227 will be admitted as Honorary Senior Members, in recognition of their professional excellence and contributions to Nigeria’s banking industry and economy.

Eminent bankers and industry leaders expected to receive Fellowship include Mr. Bala M. Bello, Mrs. Emem Usoro, Dr. Mohammed Sani Abdullahi of the Central Bank of Nigeria; Mr. Olusegun Alebiosu, First Bank of Nigeria; Mrs. Adaora Umeoji, Zenith Bank; and Mr. Imam Hassan, Keystone Bank, among others.

The keynote address, titled “Banking Beyond Boundaries: Leveraging Technological Innovations for Enhanced Performance in the Nigerian Banking Industry”, will be delivered by Dr. Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, CEO of Future Africa and Co-founder of Andela.

Special Guests of Honour include Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, FCIB, Governor of Lagos State, and Mallam Dikko Umar Radda, Ph.D., CON, Governor of Katsina State. The event will also welcome top government officials, industry captains, bank executives, academics, and representatives of professional institutions.

Prof. Pius Deji Olanrewaju, Ph.D., FCIB, President/Chairman of Council, CIBN, will chair the ceremony, with Dr. Dele Alabi, FCIB, 1st Vice President, serving as Chief Host, supported by Akin Morakinyo, ACIB, HCIB, Registrar/CEO of CIBN.
