The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has ordered an immediate investigation into an altercation between some of the agency’s officers and a motorist along Abudu, Edo State.
The incident, which occurred on Saturday, October 25, 2025, gained widespread attention after a video showing the confrontation surfaced on social media, sparking public reactions.
In a statement released on Sunday by the Corps Public Education Officer, Assistant Corps Marshal Olusegun Ogungbemide, the Corps Marshal expressed deep concern over the conduct of the officers involved.
Mohammed stressed that the FRSC maintains zero tolerance for any form of unprofessional behavior that could tarnish the image and discipline of the Corps. He assured the public that anyone found culpable after the investigation would face appropriate disciplinary actions in line with the Corps’ operational guidelines and public service rules.
While appealing for calm, the Corps Marshal urged motorists to continue cooperating with FRSC personnel who are dedicated to ensuring safer roads and saving lives across the country.
He, however, warned that the Corps would not tolerate any assault or act of violence against its officers while performing their lawful duties.
The FRSC reaffirmed its commitment to professionalism, accountability, and public trust in the pursuit of safer highways nationwide.
