Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo received a massive show of support from residents and stakeholders of Atani and Okpoko communities in Ogbaru Local Government Area as his re-election campaign gained stronger momentum.
The event served as both a campaign stop and a direct engagement with the people, giving the governor an opportunity to interact with residents and reaffirm his administration’s developmental strides across Anambra State.
Speaking to the crowd at Atani, Governor Soludo underscored the importance of active community involvement in governance. “Community participation is key to achieving sustainable development. Together, we can continue improving our infrastructure, education, and healthcare systems,” he said.
At Okpoko, the governor walked through the bustling streets and visited St. Lwanga Church, recalling the state’s difficult security situation before he assumed office. “When I became governor, insecurity was a major concern. Today, through collaboration with our communities, we have significantly restored peace and safety,” he noted.
Reaffirming his administration’s focus on sustainable progress, Soludo said, “We are building an Anambra that works for everyone — stronger, cleaner, and more inclusive. Our mission is long-term transformation, not quick fixes.”
The event drew notable personalities, including the Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, who praised Soludo’s leadership. “Governor Soludo has redefined governance with visible results. His dedication to the people is unmatched, and Ogbaru stands firmly behind him,” Udeze stated.
Community leader Chief Emma Obi also applauded the governor’s achievements, saying, “Governor Soludo has brought hope and visible development to our communities. His leadership goes beyond roads and buildings — he has renewed our confidence in government.”
A major highlight of the event was the presentation of a ₦50 million cheque to Governor Soludo in support of his re-election campaign — a gesture that reflects the people’s trust and appreciation for his transformational vision for Anambra.
