Rev. Father Ofodile, Parish Priest of St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church, is set to celebrate a decade of dedicated service on November 22, 2025. Reflecting on his journey, he attributes his accomplishments to God’s love, mercy, and grace, emphasizing that his priesthood has been guided by divine support throughout.
Since his posting to Sobe in October 2019, Rev. Father Ofodile has faced the usual challenges of pastoral life but finds balance through farming, a practice that doubles as both a hobby and a means to support his dependents. “Priesthood alone cannot take care of all my needs,” he says, highlighting the enduring importance of agriculture, rooted in biblical tradition from the Garden of Eden.
On community safety, he commends the efforts of local Security Corps while urging residents to cooperate, providing actionable information to aid protection efforts. Speaking on recent violent incidents, he calls for prayerful vigilance and moral responsibility in addressing societal challenges.
Looking ahead to the festive season, Rev. Father Ofodile advises moderation during Christmas celebrations, emphasizing reverence and prudence in spending.
As he marks his 10-year milestone, he extends an open invitation to the community to join in heartfelt praise to God and genuine celebration, underscoring that the essence of the occasion is faith, gratitude, and shared joy.
