The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has shared a total of N2.094 trillion among the Federal Government, States, and Local Government Councils for October 2025, following its November meeting chaired by the Accountant General of the Federation, Shamsudeen B. Ogunjimi. The allocation came from a gross revenue of N2.934 trillion, covering statutory revenue, Value Added Tax (VAT), and the Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL).

According to a FAAC communiqué, the Federal Government received N758.405 billion, States got N689.120 billion, and Local Government Councils received N505.803 billion. Oil-producing states were allocated N141.395 billion as 13% derivation revenue. The committee also approved N115.278 billion as cost of collection and N724.603 billion for transfers, interventions, and refunds.

VAT revenue for October stood at N719.827 billion, a drop of N152.803 billion from September’s figure. After statutory deductions, N670.303 billion was distributed: the Federal Government received N100.545 billion, States N335.152 billion, and Local Councils N234.606 billion.

Gross statutory revenue rose to N2.164 trillion, an increase of N36.832 billion compared to the previous month. From this, N1.376 trillion was shared among the three tiers of government: the Federal Government received N650.680 billion, States N330.033 billion, Local Governments N254.442 billion, while the 13% derivation for oil-producing states amounted to N141.395 billion.

From the EMTL inflow of N49.865 billion, the Federal Government received N7.180 billion, States N23.935 billion, and Local Governments N16.755 billion, with N1.995 billion deducted as cost of collection.

The communiqué noted significant increases in Petroleum Profit Tax, Hydrocarbon Tax, Company Income Tax (CIT), Oil and Gas Royalty, Import Duty, and Excise Duty. However, VAT, EMTL receipts, and certain fees recorded declines.

In total, FAAC confirmed that the distributable revenue for October was drawn from statutory revenue of N1.376 trillion, VAT of N670.303 billion, and N47.870 billion from EMTL—bringing total shared revenue to N2.094 trillion for the month.
