The management of Gynescope Specialist Hospital has expressed heartfelt condolences to the family of Late Mrs. Akudo Lovelyn John while firmly denying allegations of medical negligence surrounding her death. The hospital further revealed that extraordinary measures were taken during the course of treatment, including voluntary blood donations by members of its medical and management team who were compatible and present at the time.
Gynescope stated unequivocally that some reports in the public domain misrepresented the circumstances of the case and unfairly cast aspersions on the professionalism and integrity of its medical personnel, who it said acted in good faith and in the best interests of the patient.
Describing itself as a healthcare institution founded on respect for human life and strict adherence to ethical and professional standards, the hospital reaffirmed its commitment to patient-centred care, accountability, and sound medical judgment.
The management also assured the public that it is fully cooperating with all relevant regulatory and statutory authorities and will continue to engage appropriate professional bodies in line with due process.
