The Presidency has dismissed reports claiming that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has removed Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila as his Chief of Staff.
The report, which circulated widely on social media, alleged that the President had replaced Gbajabiamila with his Principal Private Secretary, Hakeem Muri-Okunola. However, the Presidency described the claim as false and misleading.
In a statement issued by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Nigerians were urged to ignore the report, stressing that no such change has taken place.
According to the statement, both Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila and Hakeem Muri-Okunola remain in their respective positions, adding that the story was fabricated to cause unnecessary tension within the government.
The Presidency also cautioned members of the public and the media to always verify information before sharing or publishing, especially on social media platforms
