The Jigawa State Executive Council has approved the sum of ₦1,487,180,249.00 for the renovation and reconstruction of the Hadejia Emir’s Palace, reaffirming the government’s commitment to preserving the state’s rich cultural and traditional heritage.

The approval recognizes the historical and cultural significance of the palace, which serves as a symbol of unity and traditional authority in Hadejia Emirate. According to the government, the project will restore the palace’s structural integrity while maintaining its historical identity.

The reconstruction is expected to enhance the palace’s durability and functionality, ensuring it continues to serve future generations as a centre of culture, tradition, and community leadership
