Kano state government assured to support online chapel to meet the high level of professionalism ,and promised to support some of the Members to be register as members of the Nigerian guild of editors .
This was announced by the Kano state commissioner of information Alh Abdullàhi Ibrahim wayya at the closing ceremony of a two days Retreat for Online media chapel organized by Kano state government which was held at manpower institute MDI,Jigawa state capital .
The commissioner appreciate the effort made by the Kano state Government in sponsoring the online media chapel to take retreat in jigawa state Dutse .
He describe the Kano state Governor Dr Abba Kabir Yusuf as a passionate governor ,the Governor who is a digital Governor who is always ready to promote and equiped the online media to successfully operate in the discharge of their duties in Kano state .
He assure that the Kano state Government will continue supporting and assisting the online media chapel to work for the development of state.
He explained that ,Kano state Government will provide all the necessary needed support to all members of the online media chapel that they might require to discharge their duties affectively in the state.
Wayya testified that he will assist them to be fully register with Nigerian guild of editors ,but only those managing the editors seat of each medium will be supported to be part of the Nigerian guild of editors, no proprietors or publishers will be supported to be part of Nigerian guild of editors.
In his remark the Kano online media chapel chairman Malam Abubakar Abdulkadir Dan gambo thanks the Kano state Government for recognition their potential and the support given to them as online media chapel.
The chairman added that as a son and daughters of Kano state, promised to support the state government in moving the Kano state forward through developmental journalism .
He seek the state government to continue supporting the chapel ,and at the same time task the members to put what ever they learn during the retreat in to a practice .
Finally thank the commissioner and Kano state Governor Dr Abba Kabir Yusuf for the support given to them to acquire the knowledge of professionalism .
