On June 6th, 2022, at approximately 1500hrs, Mrs. Taiwo Bello reported that her husband, Temitope Bello, was among those injured in an attack on St. Francis Catholic Church by suspected herdsmen.
Temitope Bello was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre Owo for treatment, where he remains under intensive care. Tragically, their two sons, Bamisope Daniel Bello (3) and Olamiposi David Bello (10), and mother-in-law, Mrs. Bolanle Akinola, lost their lives in the attack. The remains of the deceased were taken to the FMC morgue, and Mrs. Taiwo Bello and her brother-in-law, Babajide Bello, have identified the bodies as those of their loved ones.
This letter serves as confirmation of the casualties to facilitate the release of the bodies for burial. We kindly request your assistance in this matter.
