The National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) has unveiled a new licensing portal for insurance agents, aimed at simplifying and expediting the registration and renewal process. The portal will reduce manual intervention and provide a more efficient experience for agents and insurance companies.

The new portal is designed to ease, fast-track, and streamline the licensing of insurance agents, making it easier for them to register and renew their licenses. With this development, all applications for registration and renewal of agency licenses must be submitted through the new portal effective August 1, 2024.

NAICOM has advised all registered agents and insurance companies to take note of this development and be guided accordingly. Additionally, all pending applications that have not been registered on the old portal should be resubmitted through the new licensing agents portal.

This move is expected to bring about a more efficient and streamlined process for insurance agents and companies, reducing the time and effort required to register and renew licenses.
