President Tinubu’s spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, has announced that he will be taking an indefinite leave of absence from his official duties due to pressing medical issues affecting his immediate family. Ngelale, who serves as Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, submitted a memo to the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, on Friday, citing the need to attend to his family’s health concerns.
As a result of his leave, Ngelale will temporarily step away from his multiple roles within the administration, including his positions as Presidential Spokesperson, Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Action, and Chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee on Project Evergreen.
Ngelale expressed that this decision was made after significant consultations with his family and that he appreciates the understanding that the administration will continue to function smoothly in his absence.
