Dangote Refinery has announced a reduction in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol, from N990 to N970 per litre for marketers.

The Group’s spokesperson, Anthony Chiejina, confirmed the price adjustment in a statement on Sunday, describing it as a gesture of appreciation to Nigerians for their support of the 650,000-barrel-per-day refinery.

“As the year comes to an end, this is our way of thanking the good people of Nigeria for their unwavering support and the government for fostering domestic enterprise for our collective well-being,” Chiejina stated.

He emphasized that the refinery would continue to uphold the highest quality standards for its products while striving to meet and surpass Nigeria’s domestic fuel demands, ensuring consistent supply and dispelling concerns over potential shortages.

This announcement follows an agreement between Dangote Refinery and the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) to facilitate direct fuel purchases.

Meanwhile, fuel prices at filling stations across Nigeria currently range between N1,060 and N1,115 per litre.
