Romson Oil Field Services, a subsidiary of TGI Group, has commissioned a cutting-edge Chemical Blending Plant in Ogun State, marking a major milestone in Nigeria’s industrial sector.

Located at KM 51, Cormart factory, the facility is set to enhance local production of oil and gas chemicals, biocides, and industrial solutions, reducing reliance on imports while boosting supply chain efficiency and job creation.

At the commissioning, Dr. Remi Oni, Group Executive Director, TGI Group, emphasized the project’s significance, stating, “By blending these chemicals locally, we strengthen Nigeria’s industrial base, improve cost efficiency, and promote sustainability.”

Devadasan Karayi, Managing Director of Romson Oil Field Services, reiterated the company’s focus on sustainability and innovation, ensuring the plant aligns with global standards while minimizing environmental impact.

Commending the initiative, Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe, Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), noted that the plant reinforces Nigeria’s position in chemical production and local capacity development.

The facility will manufacture chemicals crucial for oil and gas production, water treatment, and environmental protection, with a strong emphasis on research and innovation. Regulatory bodies, including the NCDMB and DPR, have pledged continued support to ensure its success.

This investment underscores TGI Group’s commitment to driving industrial growth, sustainability, and economic development in Nigeria.
