The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Lagos State Chapter, has congratulated Mr. Olanrewaju Adetokunbo Bajulaye on his appointment as the Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture.

A delegation led by NAWOJ Lagos Chairperson, Dr. Adeola Ekine, visited Mr. Bajulaye at his Alausa Secretariat office to present an official congratulatory letter and express their support for his tenure.

Dr. Ekine described Mr. Bajulaye as a dedicated leader whose expertise in public affairs will drive positive change in the ministry. She also praised his long-standing support for gender inclusivity and ethical journalism, emphasizing his contributions as a He-for-She Ambassador advocating for the advancement of women in media.

In response, Mr. Bajulaye expressed appreciation for the recognition and reaffirmed his commitment to fostering collaboration between the government and the media. He pledged continued support for NAWOJ’s initiatives, particularly in capacity building and public enlightenment, while urging female journalists to promote positive narratives about Lagos’ tourism sector.

The meeting underscored NAWOJ’s commitment to strengthening partnerships that benefit both the media and tourism sectors. The association looks forward to working closely with Mr. Bajulaye to drive sustainable tourism development and media advocacy in Lagos State.
