NNPC Limited has provided an update on the incident reported on Thursday, December 11, 2025, affecting a section of the Escravos–Lagos Pipeline System (ELPS) in South-West Warri, Delta State.

The Company confirmed that coordinated containment measures have been successfully executed, ensuring the safety of host communities, personnel, and the environment. All affected pipeline sections have been safely isolated.

A joint preliminary inspection of the site was conducted by technical teams from NNPC Limited, the Nigeria Midstream & Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), and maintenance contractors.

NNPC Gas Infrastructure Company (NGIC), the operator of the network, has activated its Business Continuity Plan to mitigate the impact on all stakeholders, including shippers and suppliers.

NNPC Limited continues to maintain open communication with host communities, state authorities, and other critical stakeholders, appreciating their cooperation and support.
