Dr. Adamu Abdullahi Atterwahmie has reaffirmed his support and loyalty to the Governor of Jigawa State, Umar Namadi, citing his leadership style and commitment to development.

Atterwahmie commended the governor for efforts in transforming key sectors, including education, healthcare, infrastructure, and youth empowerment. He described the administration as people-oriented and focused on delivering meaningful progress across the state.

He added that his support for the governor remains firm, noting that Namadi’s leadership continues to inspire confidence, unity, and hope among residents. He also urged citizens, particularly young people, to sustain their support in order to consolidate ongoing development efforts.

Offering prayers for the governor, Atterwahmie wished him wisdom, strength, and success in steering the state toward greater prosperity and sustainable growth.

Observers note that Governor Namadi’s governance style and development initiatives are increasingly shaping political discussions ahead of the 2027 governorship election in the state.

Analysts point to the administration’s focus on youth and women empowerment, as well as its engagement with key stakeholders, as factors contributing to growing political influence.

Since assuming office, the governor has implemented programmes aimed at improving livelihoods, particularly in agriculture, where farmers have benefited from various support schemes. Social intervention programmes, including the distribution of food items during Ramadan, have also reached communities across the 27 local government areas.

In the area of infrastructure, the administration has executed road projects and undertaken the renovation and construction of schools and healthcare facilities.

Healthcare interventions include the upgrading of primary healthcare centres, general hospitals, and specialist facilities, alongside the recruitment of health workers and sponsorship of students in medical-related fields.

Programmes targeting women and children, particularly in maternal and child healthcare, have also been expanded to improve service delivery.

Political analysts say the administration’s engagement strategy has contributed to relative stability in the state’s political environment.

While the 2027 election is still some distance away, observers maintain that performance, governance outcomes, and public perception will remain key factors in shaping the political landscape.
