Following the Heavy rainfall and heavy winds that resulted in the destroying several houses and some part of boarding Secondary school hostels in Kaugama Local Government Area left families and student stranded .
The information officer of the local Government Alhaji Musa Muhammed Hadejia has confirmed the story
He said the council chairman, Honourable Usman Masaki Dansule, has already directed the Department of Works and Housing to renovate the school hostels that were recently destroyed, so that students can sleep safely.
The incident occurred when the heavy wind blown the roofing off and some structures were ruined due to the capacity of wind in the area.
While responding, the State central working committee chairman, Muhammad Danyayi has urged residents of the area and jigawa state at large to evacuate Drainages, culverts for easy flow of rainwater.
In his response, the Council Chairman Usman Masaki sympathized with the victims and pledged to seek assistance for them from the Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) for assessment and necessary action.
He further directed the community and social development department to start compiling the names of victims for further necessary action.
