Rotarian Johnpaul Ifenna Chigbo, BMLS, MPA, an accomplished healthcare professional, entrepreneur, public administrator, and humanitarian leader whose career reflects a deep commitment to service, excellence, and community development, has emerged as the President of Rotary Club of Ojodu.

Born into the family of Mr. and Mrs. John Chigbo of Egbu Umuenem, Otolo Nnewi, Anambra State, Nigeria, he received his early education at St. Joseph’s Nursery and Primary School, Dala-Imo, Otolo Nnewi, before proceeding to Dr. Alutu’s College of Excellence, Nnewi, for his secondary education. He later earned a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences (BMLS) degree from the College of Medicine, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, in 2009.

Driven by a passion for continuous learning and leadership development, he obtained a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy (MIAD) at the same institution.

Following graduation, Rotarian. Chigbo began his professional career at Jos University Teaching Hospital, where he served from 2010 to 2012. He subsequently relocated to Lagos State and has since built an impressive career spanning the public, private, and non-governmental sectors of Nigeria’s healthcare industry.

He currently serves with the Health Facility Monitoring and Accreditation Agency (HEFAMAA), Lagos State Ministry of Health, as a Franchise Facilities Monitor, contributing significantly to healthcare quality assurance and regulatory compliance across the state. He is also the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of JaySK Medics Limited, a healthcare solutions company specializing in the supply, installation, maintenance, and support of medical equipment and healthcare technologies nationwide.

A firm believer in professional excellence, he has earned several specialized certifications, including ART Certification from the Catholic Caritas Foundation of Nigeria, Molecular and Serological Testing for COVID-19 by Biomérieux, and Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety Certification from Lambda Management and Consulting Services Limited.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Rotarian Chigbo has distinguished himself as a transformational leader and community builder. He currently serves as Chairman of the Medical Laboratory Science Alumni Association, University of Nigeria Enugu Campus, Class of 2009, and Chairman of Dr. Alutu’s College of Excellence Alumni Association, Class of 2003.

In recognition of his exemplary leadership, dedication to service, and commitment to humanitarian causes, he has emerged as the 22nd President of the Rotary Club of Ojodu, Rotary International District 9111, for the 2026–2027 Rotary Year under the theme, “Create Lasting Impact.”

Within Rotary, he has served meritoriously in several strategic capacities, including Club Secretary, Youth Service Chair, Chair of the Polio Campaign Committee, Chair of Rotary Health Family Day, and member of various service and strategic committees. His contributions have advanced Rotary’s mission in disease prevention, health promotion, youth development, and community service.

A respected healthcare professional, entrepreneur, mentor, and devoted father, Rotarian Johnpaul Ifenna Chigbo embodies the values of integrity, service above self, innovation, and purposeful leadership.
