The Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the Anti-Corruption Awareness Organization of Nigeria (ACAON), Alhaji Prince Kola Kadewolu Adeyemi, has congratulated His Imperial Majesty, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade, the Alaafin of Oyo, on the occasion of his 51st birthday, 20th wedding anniversary, and the first anniversary of his ascension to the throne of his forefathers.
Prince Adeyemi, who is a prince from the Alowolodu Ruling House of the Oyo Empire, described the monarch’s triple celebration as a milestone worthy of honour and thanksgiving.
In a congratulatory message, the ACAON BOT Chairman praised the Alaafin’s leadership over the past year, urging him to continue to provide inclusive leadership and promote peace, unity, and development across Oyo Kingdom and the Yoruba nation.
He noted that the monarch’s emergence as Alaafin reflected divine purpose, saying that his reign had brought renewed hope to the people of Oyo. According to him, the traditional ruler has continued to demonstrate wisdom, humility, and commitment to preserving the rich cultural heritage of the ancient kingdom.
Prince Adeyemi prayed for God’s continued guidance, protection, and wisdom for the Alaafin, expressing confidence that the monarch would enjoy a long, peaceful, and successful reign marked by prosperity and progress for the people.
He also congratulated the royal couple on their 20th wedding anniversary, describing their marriage as a testament to love, patience, and God’s faithfulness. He prayed for continued peace, harmony, and divine blessings upon the royal family.
“As Kabiyesi marks his 51st birthday, celebrates 20 years of marriage, and commemorates one year on the throne, I pray that Almighty God grants him good health, greater wisdom, and the strength to continue leading Oyo Kingdom and the Yoruba race with justice, compassion, and excellence,” he said.
