The Osun State chapter of the Tinubu Presidential Campaign Council is scheduled for inauguration on Thursday, October 22, 2026, with prominent political leaders and stakeholders from the All Progressives Congress (APC), Accord and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) expected to participate.
The ceremony is scheduled to hold at 12 noon at Oasis Event Centre, Osogbo, according to a statement issued on Tuesday by Mallam Olawale Rasheed, spokesperson to the state coordinator, Governor Ademola Adeleke.
The proposed campaign council structure features a broad list of political figures, former and serving lawmakers, party executives, local government chairpersons and other influential stakeholders across Osun State.
Among the prominent APC figures listed are former governor Gboyega Oyetola, former interim national chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande, Senator Iyiola Omisore, Senator Ajibola Basiru, Senator Jide Omoworare, Senator Sola Adeyeye and former Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Foluke Etteh.
Other APC members named include Alhaji Bola Oyebamiji, Engr. Akintunde Adegboye and several serving and former legislators at the national and state levels.
The council also features numerous APC state executive members, National Assembly candidates, House of Assembly candidates and local government chairpersons, reflecting the party’s proposed grassroots mobilisation structure ahead of the presidential campaign.
Political figures associated with Accord and the PDP are also included in the proposed composition. They include Professor Wale Oladipo, Prince Kola Adewusi, Erelu Olusola Obada, Dr. Olu Alabi, Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye, Senator Lere Oyewumi and Hon. Bamidele Salam.
The list further includes former lawmakers, party executives, local government chairpersons and other political stakeholders drawn from different parts of the state.
The inclusion of figures from different political platforms gives the proposed council a broad-based composition, although the extent of participation and the roles of individual members are expected to become clearer at the inauguration.
The event is expected to bring together party leaders, elected officials, former public officeholders and grassroots mobilisers to formally inaugurate the state campaign structure.
The development comes as political alignments and mobilisation efforts continue to shape preparations for the 2027 presidential election.
According to the statement dated October 20, 2026, the inauguration is intended to establish the Osun State campaign council and bring together the listed stakeholders under a coordinated structure.
The organisers have yet to provide further details about the programme of activities for the ceremony.
