— The 18th edition of the Indomie Heroes Awards has returned with an eight-part television series celebrating 18 remarkable Nigerian children whose acts of courage, compassion and resilience have positively impacted their communities.
Hosted by media personality Tomike Adeoye, the series began airing on October 18 across multiple television stations and Indomie Nigeria’s official YouTube channel, showcasing the inspiring stories of finalists in the Physical, Intellectual and Social Bravery categories.
The television series is an extension of Dufil Prima Foods Plc’s flagship Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, which recognises children who demonstrate exceptional courage, selflessness and leadership despite their age.
Through the stories of the finalists, the programme seeks to inspire more young Nigerians to embrace kindness, responsibility and community service, reinforcing the message that heroism is defined not by age but by the willingness to make a positive difference.
Speaking on the initiative, Temitope Ashiwaju, Group Corporate Communications and Events Manager at Dufil Prima Foods Plc, said the awards celebrate children whose actions demonstrate the power of individual contributions to society.
“At Indomie, we believe that the potential to inspire change exists in every child. The Indomie Heroes Awards celebrates young Nigerians who have demonstrated exceptional courage, compassion and determination, often in ways that profoundly impact the people around them,” Ashiwaju said.
He added that bringing the finalists’ stories to television would encourage children to recognise the value of their actions while inspiring families and communities to nurture positive values.
Beyond the awards ceremony, the series provides a platform for the 18 finalists to share their experiences with a wider audience. Their stories highlight acts of kindness, perseverance, community service and achievement, demonstrating how individual efforts can create meaningful change.
The programme also offers families an opportunity to engage with content that promotes empathy, leadership and social responsibility, encouraging children to consider how their actions can improve the lives of others.
The eight-part series airs on NTA on Fridays at 5 p.m.; AIT on Saturdays at 5:30 p.m.; and Channels Television on Saturdays at 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Episodes are also available on Indomie Nigeria’s official YouTube channel on Saturdays at 6 p.m. Other broadcast outlets include BCOS and CTV Kano on Sundays at 5:30 p.m., as well as Africa Magic Family on Sundays at 9 p.m.
Through the 18th edition of the Indomie Heroes Awards, Dufil Prima Foods continues to spotlight young Nigerians whose actions reflect courage, compassion and service to humanity.
By sharing their experiences with audiences nationwide, the initiative aims to inspire a new generation of responsible citizens and demonstrate that heroism can begin with a simple decision to do what is right.
