In a prestigious recognition, Jaiz Bank, Nigeria’s pioneering Non-Interest Bank, has been awarded the 2024 Global Most Promising Islamic Bank by the Global Islamic Finance Awards (GIFA). This esteemed award was announced during the Global Islamic Finance Summit (GIFS) and awards ceremony in the Republic of Maldives.
GIFA’s Chairman, Professor Humayon Dar, highlighted the rigorous evaluation process, stating that Jaiz Bank stood out among its peers, demonstrating exceptional growth potential, innovation, and financial performance. The Bank’s Managing Director/CEO, Haruna Musa (Ph.D.), expressed gratitude and acknowledged the significance of this milestone, aligning with Jaiz Bank’s strategic vision to become a leading non-interest financial institution in Africa within five years.
This achievement marks Jaiz Bank’s third GIFA award, having previously won the Most Improved Islamic Bank Award in 2020 and 2021. The Global Islamic Finance Awards are renowned for recognizing excellence and innovation in the Islamic finance industry globally, making this award a testament to Jaiz Bank’s commitment to excellence and innovative financial solutions.
