Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Jigawa State have been called upon to set aside their differences and work together as one united family to strengthen the party ahead of the 2027 elections.
The appeal was made by the North-East Zonal Vice Chairman of the party, Muhammad Dikuma Umar, during an interactive session with party members in Hadejia.
Dikuma emphasized the importance of evaluating governance performance at all levels, noting that credibility, transparency, and integrity should remain the guiding principles for party members and leaders alike. He also commended the administration of Governor Umar Namadi for executing impactful projects, urging citizens to sustain and protect these achievements for future generations.
Reflecting on the recently concluded ward, local government, and state congresses, Dikuma praised the foresight and timely decisions that ensured a smooth and successful process. He stressed that internal unity remains critical for the party’s continued success.
According to him, the party’s 12-point agenda serves as a solid foundation for progress, supported by a team of capable and innovative members. He, however, cautioned party members against making uninformed public statements, urging them to verify facts before speaking.
“Politics should not be a platform for personal gain, but a means of contributing meaningfully to community development,” he noted, adding that constructive engagement and issue-based discussions would strengthen cohesion, trust, and mutual respect within the party.
Dikuma further advised aggrieved members to focus on genuine concerns and avoid divisive tendencies, as unity would create broader opportunities for growth and development both within the state and beyond.
He concluded by congratulating the people of Jigawa State and the wider Muslim community on the successful completion of the 1447 AH fasting period, praying for continued guidance and blessings.
