The whereabouts of a 45 years old woman, Mrs. Oluwabunmi Oyeniran, and her 14 years old daughter, Miss Riyanat Oyeniran, remain unknown several months after they reportedly left their residence in Agboile Olaitan Omuga, Oro Ago Community, Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, leaving their family and loved ones deeply worried.
According to information made available to our correspondent, the mother and daughter were last seen on April 11, 2026, when they reportedly left their home in the morning. Since then, neither of them has returned, and all efforts to establish contact or determine their whereabouts have proved unsuccessful.
The husband of the missing woman, Mr. Alfa Abubakar Alli Oyeniran told our correspondent that extensive efforts to trace his wife and daughter have yielded no results. He explained that inquiries made among relatives, friends, neighbours, colleagues, and other associates have failed to provide any information that could lead to their location.
As anxiety continues to mount over the prolonged disappearance, the matter was reported to the Nigeria Police Force and other relevant security agencies. A Police Extract has reportedly been obtained to formally document the case and aid ongoing investigations.
The family has appealed to members of the public to assist with any useful information that could help security agencies locate the missing woman and her daughter. Anyone with credible information has been urged to report to the nearest police station or other appropriate security authorities.
However, the disappearance has also generated concerns within the community following allegations shared with our correspondent by a person described as a close acquaintance of the family. According to the source, the missing woman had allegedly experienced repeated domestic abuse and physical altercations in her matrimonial home. The same source also claimed that there had been disagreements within the family over an alleged plan to arrange an early marriage for the minor who was barely 14 years old daughter, a move the mother was said to have strongly opposed.
