A prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart in Hadejia Emirate, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Dantalan, has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi for second terms in office ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking on the security challenges facing the country, Dantalan condemned the rising wave of insecurity in parts of Northern Nigeria, describing it as a serious concern that requires collective efforts to address.

He noted that insecurity is not peculiar to Nigeria, stressing that it is a global challenge affecting many countries and communities across the world. However, he expressed concern over its impact on the northern region, saying it has negatively affected social and economic activities in several states.

Dantalan defended the administration of President Tinubu, arguing that the President is making efforts to tackle insecurity despite the challenges confronting the country. He alleged that some political opponents are exploiting the security situation in an attempt to discredit the APC-led government ahead of the 2027 elections.

According to him, combating insecurity requires the support and cooperation of all Nigerians, emphasizing that government alone cannot overcome the challenge without the active participation of citizens and stakeholders.

“The issue of insecurity needs urgent attention and collaboration from all Nigerians. The government cannot do it alone. Citizens must support ongoing efforts to restore peace and stability across the country,” he said.

He further appealed to President Tinubu to ensure that individuals found to have links with terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, and other criminal activities are identified and brought to justice.

Dantalan maintained that the current security challenges predate the Tinubu administration, noting that insurgency became a major national issue during the Boko Haram uprising that emerged in the early 2010s.

The APC chieftain called on Nigerians to come out in large numbers during the 2027 general elections to re-elect President Tinubu and Governor Namadi, expressing confidence that both leaders would continue to deliver on their mandates.

He also predicted a strong electoral performance for the APC across the country, stating that the party would retain widespread support in many states, including Jigawa State.

Dantalan therefore urged the people of Jigawa State and Nigerians in general to support Governor Umar Namadi’s re-election bid, citing the administration’s developmental efforts and commitment to improving the welfare of the people
